Visit the famous Bac Ha Sunday market and trek around the villages too.

Night 1 (Saturday): Hanoi – Bac Ha

6 pm: A taxi will pick you up from our office at No 18 Hang Muoi street in Hanoi Old Quarter to My Dinh bus station. You will board the sleeper bus to Bac Ha town. The bus will depart at 7:30 pm.

Day 1 (Sunday): Bac Ha market and horse carting (15 km)

4 am: Our tour guide will meet you at the bus station and lead you to the homestay in Ban Pho village of the Flower Hmong. Here you will take a rest.

6:30 am: Leave homestay for Bac Ha market. Before walking around to visit the market, you will have breakfast at a local restaurant where many ethnic minority people have their breakfast too. Bac Ha market is the biggest ethnic minority market in the Northwest of Vietnam opening once a week every Sunday. In the market, you will meet different ethnic minority groups such as: Nung, Tay, Phu La, Flower Hmong, etc. You will have a chance to discover the differences in culture, customs and ethnic dressing with your tour guide.

Have lunch at the market, try authentic local food with corn wine. This wine is very strong and is one of the trade marks of Bac Ha.

1 pm: You will explore Bac Ha town by horse carting. It will take 15 km from Bac Ha town to Na Lo village of the Tay people followed by Thai Giang Pho village of the Flower Hmong people. At Thai Giang Pho village, you will see a big garden of orchids, other flowers and fruits. You will take a moment here to enjoy the beautiful views and take photos. The horse cart will proceed to Hoang A Tuong Palace where the King of Hmong people once lived. He was from the Tay ethnic group. Under the support from French colonial masters, Hoang A Tuong rule the region which consists of 70% Hmong. Tour around the palace to see the fusion of Chinese and French architecture and pictures which describe how the people lived in this area. Next stop is a visit of Nung people in Na Kheo village before returning to Ban Pho where you will spend the night at the homestay.

Night 2: Chat with your homestay host while having dinner at around 7 pm. You may then retire for the day to recharge for the next day of trekking.

Day 2 (Monday): Ban Pho – Phe Bung – Nhay Thau – Km5 – Bac Ha town – Hanoi (14 km)

Wake up early to enjoy an amazing dawn in the mountainous area filled with songs of birds; sounds of ducks, chicken, buffalo, etc. A local breakfast will be served by the homestay host. It will provide you the energy to start a new day.

8 am: Start trekking from Ban Pho village towards another Flower Hmong village Phe Bung village for 7 km. Here you will have a picnic lunch and take in the stunning views of mountains, valleys, rice terraced fields and Hoang Thu Pho village. If the weather permits, you will see Mount Fansipan in Sapa district and Coc Ly valley of Ta Thang range.

After that, you continue on the dulating route for about 40 mins to Nhay Thau village of the Nung people. Head down the valley to Km5 of Bac Ha town, a car awaits to ferry you back to Ban Pho village. Take a rest, have dinner and pack your luggage.

Night 3: At 7 pm, our guide will lead you to the bus station where you will take a sleeper bus to Hanoi. It will depart at 8 pm and you will reach My Dinh bus station in Hanoi at around 4 am the next morning. Your tour ends here.
